How Community Energy Advocacy Works

Community Energy Advocacy follows a clear, documented 7-stage process from initial enquiry through to case closure. This structured approach protects our clients, supports safeguarding, and maintains consistent professional standards across every interaction.

We believe in a methodical and transparent approach to every dispute. By navigating energy challenges with professional oversight and human-centered support, we provide a steady, reassuring path forward, ensuring you never have to face complex supplier issues alone.

Our 7-Stage Advocacy Model

Step 1
Enquiry

Clients contact us and are directed to book a triage appointment.

Step 2
30-Minute Triage

We assess the issue, identify urgency and safeguarding risks, and classify the case. No case is formally opened during this stage.

Step 3
Confirming Next Steps

We explain pricing clearly. Subscription is presented as optional, and the client decides whether to proceed.

Step 4
Case Opening

A Letter of Authority is signed, documentation is collected, and the case is formally logged and opened.

Step 5
Investigation & Action

We contact the supplier, review documented evidence, and provide regular updates throughout the process.

Step 6
Escalation (If Required)

Cases may progress to senior investigation or Ombudsman referral. Escalation is measured and proportionate, not reactive.

Step 7
Case Closure

Resolution is achieved or the case is otherwise concluded. A written outcome summary is provided to every client.

Safeguarding and Vulnerability

Vulnerability and safeguarding risks are assessed throughout the entirety of our advocacy process, not just at the point of initial enquiry. This continuous monitoring ensures that our support remains responsive to changes in your personal or financial circumstances.

  • Assessment of medical dependency on energy supply
  • Identification of risk of disconnection
  • Monitoring for severe financial hardship or crisis
  • Prioritisation of acute safeguarding cases within controlled capacity

A Structured, Steady Way Forward

You do not have to navigate energy disputes alone. Our methodical 7-stage advocacy process is designed to reduce the stress of supplier conflict by providing a clear, technical, and professional pathway toward resolution regardless of the complexity of your situation. The first step toward moving forward is understanding. By booking a triage appointment, we can assess your circumstances, identify immediate risks, and offer a steady hand in resolving your concerns.
